Welcome to Wellesley House

Headmaster’s Message

An introduction from the Headmaster

Welcome to the Wellesley House website which has just gone through the second stage of its development.  Our website serves two purposes: firstly to provide a genuine sense of what it is we do here for anyone new to the school and, secondly, to supply up to date information and news for current parents.  With the latest changes we have made to the site we will be able to provide even more current information and news.

You will see from the breadth of the site that we value a wide variety of activities and aim to provide an outstanding range of opportunities for all. We firmly believe that success follows success, whether in or outside the classroom, and develops naturally in pupils who are happy, motivated and given the encouragement to push themselves and take a few risks along the way knowing they will always be supported.

The website offers a number of interesting features. The section 'About Wellesley' is designed to provide information to anyone new to the school and is a general resume of school life.

Current parents can find out about fixtures, events, menus, news and many other things via the navigation bars on the Home page. Most of this information can also be accessed through the pictorial links at the foot of the Home page.

We aim to make the site 'live and vibrant' and for information to be regularly updated. Every Monday we publish a newsletter 'The Wellesley Weekly' to keep parents informed of news, future events, fixture changes etc. Another interesting feature is the 'Departments' section. In addition to providing an overall summary of the philosophy of each department, this section also contains web links that will be of interest to both pupils and parents who wish to pursue their interest in a subject further.

Please help us to improve the website by providing us with your feedback: a project such as this should always be 'work in progress'.

Websites can only offer a snapshot of all that happens in a school, and only hint at the character and feel of a place. Please use this site to find out more about Wellesley, or to see what your children are currently doing. If you like what you see and would be interested in visiting us to discover first hand what it is that makes Wellesley so unique, it would be my pleasure to show you around personally.
