Rugby Sevens Success at Oundle

There was little time to recover from the cross-country on Saturday for Mr Longdon and the Wellesley Rugby Sevens Squad who travelled that evening to Cambridgeshire, ready for the Oundle Small Schools tournament on Sunday.

There was little time to recover from the cross-country on Saturday for Mr Longdon and the Wellesley Rugby Sevens Squad who travelled that evening to Cambridgeshire, ready for the Oundle Small Schools tournament on Sunday. Supported by several parents who had also made the journey, the squad showed great team spirit and huge determination during the day, winning four out of their six matches. Norman Ye scored 12 tries in the competition and, despite a dislocated finger for Benny Smallwood, Wellesley were delighted to win the Plate final (thank you to Mrs Healy for the photo).
