The Arts
Music, art and drama are taken seriously and all pupils participate in these areas of school life.
Music is studied as part of the curriculum and most children also learn individual instruments of their choice. There is a school orchestra and an active chapel choir who, as well as singing in the school chapel, also visit local parishes.
Art is encouraged through display and children express themselves in a variety of media. Work is featured prominently around the school and one child's painting is chosen each half term to hang in the Headmaster's study having been shown to the school at assembly. Two art awards this year, testify to the quality of the teaching the children receive.
All pupils act on stage during the year in a variety of productions ranging from full scale musicals to form plays. Recent productions include: 'Oliver!', 'Bugsy Malone', 'Grease', 'Honk' and 'Oklahoma'. Performance drama is our biggest team game.
