We are very eggscited to have seven eggs in an incubator in Junior House. We are hoping that they will hatch into chicks over the next few weeks. To add to the excitement we are live streaming the action throughout the school on our digital signage screens and children will be able to access the feed through the school computers.
To ensure the well being of the eggs one of our Junior House parents is on hand throughout the incubation and possible hatching period to help us monitor their development.
If we are successful the chicks will go to their new home at half term where they will be free range on a farm near Deal.
Mr Waldie has been candling the eggs to check their progress. He has provided some images below where you can begin to see some evidence of growth and blood supply.
